Washington Haunted Locations...
Haunting Name: The Lion's Paw B & B Description: First and foremost, an absolutely fabulous bed and breakfast. Great prices and close to everything. The hosts are great, the house is wonderful and the breakfast unbelievable. OK...to the hauntings. This house was originally the first hospital on the penisula. It is still filled with patients. Several apparitions have been seen, including a night nurse, a gentleman (perhaps a former patient) and a whole crocette party out on the lawn, complete in 1800's formal Sunday dress. Our group (NWPI) has ongoing investigations in this home. During our stay we captured several orbs in pictures. The morning after, the host asked one of our members why he had been in their (the hosts) room in the wee hours of the morning and if he had a usual problem with slepwalking. Our member was taken aback some, because, for one, it was not any of us. For two, the hosts section of the house is, not only off limits, but completely unavailable to get to from the public section of the house. My hubby and I stayed two nites. The 2nd nite we had a roommate (another chaser in our group). We had had a long nite that 2nd evening and gone to bed around 4am. At around 5am, I woke to see what I thought was our roommate looking around the room with his flashlight. It went over the window seat, over our bed, over the dresser, back to our bed when I stirred. My hubby was still asleep. Our room was on the 2nd floor and pitch black (no outside lights, no streetlights, no inside lights, etc). I thought our fellow chaser must had heard a noise and was looking to see what could have made it. Especially since we were allegedly in the most active and haunted room. So I went back to sleep for another couple hours, thnking he'd find nothing and eventually go back to sleep. I asked our roommate the next morning what he had been looking for. He was a little shocked. And then he informed me that he didn't have his flashlight with him. He had forgotten to pack it and had to borrow and return a flashlight from another member from the previous nite's investigation. The hostess had frequest stories of people waking up in that same room around that same time with the figure of a woman, or sometimes a night nurse in their room. Maybe she's still making her early morning rounds making sure all the 'patients' are still safe and snug in their beds. :} If you go: Here's the website with all the information. http://www.thelionspawinn.com Tell Allen and Michal (that's a lady!) that NWPI sent you. :} And ask for the French Quarter. I don't recommend going in mid to late spring. there is a large ladybug migration during that time that seems to take up residence in that room also.
